The final Citizens’ Report was published in German in September 2021, and is available in English here (link). The final report includes more than 80 recommendations in five different fields of action for future climate policies in Germany.
The discussions and resulting recommendations are based on the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees C.

A representative survey conducted by the forsa institute found broad support for the climate assembly, with 79% of respondents saying they were in favor of politicians taking the recommendations into consideration when shaping future climate policies. The project also has the support of 86 organizations from all areas of society.

During the election campaign, the recommendations listed in the Citizens' Report were handed over to leading policy makers. The project team also worked to make sure the recommendations were being heard and taken into consideration during the federal coalition negotiations.
